Small Village, Large Community

Wall has a thriving community of residents taking part in a range of activities and societies centred around the village hall and the two churches of St Oswald and St George.

Emerging from the Covid 19 Pandemic, events, fetes and societies are once more a feature of the village calendar.

Wall Village Society was able to offer a full programme of activities and talks in 2021/22, which continue in 22/23.  The programme may be found in the Events tab above.  Regular coffee mornings have resumed, as have regular WI meetings and a slightly scaled back village fete was held in July 2022.

A sunny day provided the backdrop for a lively Platinum Jubilee party and residents recently welcomed ITV Studios to the village as they filmed for an episode of Vera.

Wall village is pleased to offer overnight camping on the back green, to those walking the Hadrian’s Wall National Trail.  Please email the parish clerk for permission.
